How Mutual of Omaha Gives Back
Our investments in the Omaha community are made through three channels: Foundation grant making, charitable corporate sponsorships and volunteers/board members. Each channel has its own online application form and process.
The Mutual of Omaha Foundation and Mutual of Omaha associates invest in the Omaha metro community (Douglas & Sarpy counties in Nebraska, and Pottawattamie County in Iowa) through three primary pathways:
-
Foundation Support
-
Corporate Support
-
Employee Engagement
Because each of our programs has capacity limits, our application processes are by invitation only.
Organizations considered for support must align with our non-discrimination policy and are encouraged to follow nonprofit best practices, such as membership in the Nonprofit Association of the Midlands (NAM).
Our commitment to engagement
In addition to financial support, we believe our employees’ time and talents strengthen the community. Our associates serve on nonprofit boards and participate in volunteer opportunities across the metro. We are always interested in hearing about current volunteer needs.
Mutual of Omaha employees are supported through a volunteer time practice with no limit—allowing them to volunteer during the workday with prior manager approval.
If your organization has opportunities where volunteers could make a difference, please share them with us at volunteer@mutualofomaha.com.
