How We Give Back
Our investments in the Omaha community are made through three channels: Foundation grantmaking, charitable corporate sponsorships and volunteers/board members. Each channel has its own online application form and process.
Support for all channels is limited to the Omaha metropolitan area, which includes Douglas (NE), Sarpy (NE) and Pottawattamie (IA) counties.
Before starting the relevant application, we strongly recommend that you read the background materials provided through the links below, as well as the information provided on our application system tips page.
All organizations must align with these requirements:
Support is limited to organizations that align with our non-discrimination policy, which states that organizations wishing to receive support must not discriminate in the delivery of programs or services on the basis of race, religion, gender/gender identity, sex, national origin, age, medical condition, handicap, veteran status, marital status, sexual orientation, and any other class protected by applicable law.
Organizations with a formal policy or guidance document should attach that to any application.
Nonprofit Association of the Midlands (NAM)
In an effort to ensure that we are supporting organizations that adhere to best practices in nonprofit management, we require that organizations:
- Are active and dues-paying members of the Nonprofit Association of the Midlands
- Must utilize the NAM Guidelines and Principles Assessment and work toward a “Best Practice Partnership” with NAM
- Must participate in the online salary survey administered by NAM on an annual basis
For additional information, please visit the NAM website.
