Mutual of Omaha Employees to Help Dedicate Habitat for Humanity House
Mutual of Omaha employees, who built a house in partnership with Habitat for Humanity in 2006, will help dedicate the home at a ceremony on Thursday, Dec. 14, at 4 p.m. The ceremony will take place at the house, located at 3114 Decatur.
As part of the dedication, Christine Johnson, president of the Mutual of Omaha Foundation, will present keys to the new homeowners, Eleazar and Maria Tamayo, who will live at the house with their three daughters, Yelena, Ariana and Itzel. Following the dedication, guests will be invited to join the family for a housewarming party, including a tour of the new home.
The construction of the house was a joint effort between Habitat for Humanity and Mutual of Omaha. Nearly 900 Mutual of Omaha employees dedicated more than 3,000 hours to help build the home over the course of the summer and fall.
